Springbank 10 Year Fino Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a limited release from Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, showcasing the distillery’s traditional production methods and distinctive coastal character. Distilled using partial triple distillation and malted on Springbank’s own floor maltings, the spirit is matured for a full 10 years in Fino sherry casks.
Fino sherry casks are known for their dry, delicate influence, allowing the underlying distillate character to remain prominent while adding subtle nutty and saline complexity. Bottled at cask strength and without chill filtration, this release emphasizes texture, structure, and balance rather than overt sweetness.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Fresh orchard fruit, green apple, coastal salinity, and subtle almond
Palate: Dry malt sweetness with citrus peel, toasted nuts, light oak, and gentle maritime notes
Finish: Long and dry with lingering nuttiness, soft spice, and coastal minerality
