I don’t normally drink Bourbon Whiskey but this was gifted to me by a friend and I am so glad he did! Smooth, kinda smoky, and no unpleasant burn. I’ve ordered a couple times since then but it’s hard to catch it in stock. Try it, you won’t be sorry. Well worth it!
My three person Whiskey group put this GR 250 up against Evan Williams 250, Whistle Pig 250, and Wattie Boone 1776 during a July 4th tasting.
Green River finished last. We all agreed it had unusual finish on it. Not terrible, just different. We love GR Wheated expressions, but not this bottle.
I had a pour of this today, July4th, with my buddy as part of our “Freedom Flight “. Out of the 6 bottles of special releases we tried this pour was the best by far. I instantly ordered 2 more bottles.
One of the better pours I’ve ever tasted!
Your delivery fee is so high I'm thinking of not purchasing anything more from you unless that goes down
this bottle finished my dad's Weller collection. It came in fast and well packaged! AND THE PRICE!!!!
Bought this for my husband to add to his collection.
He absolutely loved it. Fast and easy to order. Package arrived very well packed.
We had never tried Gold Bar before, but purchased it for the America 250 celebration. It's very smooth, the bottle itself is unique and fun (shaped like a gold bar) and the price is reasonable. We'll definitely check out their other offerings.
Nice commemorative bottle makes great decoration for our 250 year anniversary, liquid is ok notes of vanilla oak and brown sugar, nothing out of the ordinary for a blend of 88% corn, 9% rye, and 3% barley, bottled at 80 proof.
Frank August Bourbon is one of those bottles that catches your eye before you ever take a sip. The sleek, modern design stands out on the shelf, but thankfully what’s inside the bottle lives up to the presentation.
From the first pour, the nose offers inviting notes of caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, and a touch of baking spice. On the palate, it’s exceptionally smooth with rich flavors of toffee, brown sugar, and sweet corn balanced by subtle oak and pepper. The finish is warm, clean, and lingers just long enough to make you reach for another sip.
What impressed me most is how well-balanced it is. Nothing overpowers the experience—it’s approachable for newer bourbon drinkers while still offering enough complexity to keep experienced whiskey fans interested.
Rating: 8.8/10
Final Verdict: Frank August is more than just a good-looking bottle. It’s a flavorful, well-crafted bourbon that delivers a smooth and enjoyable drinking experience. Whether you’re adding it to your collection or sharing a pour with friends, this is a bottle that’s easy to recommend and even easier to enjoy. 🥃 Cheers!
Phenomenal product and outstanding customer service and delivery!! I will definitely order again!!
