The journey of Guadalupe begins with Garrison Brothers' signature four-year-old Texas Straight Bourbon, crafted from a sweet, wheated mash bill of locally sourced corn and wheat. This mature bourbon is then finished for an additional two years in carefully selected Tawny Port casks from the sun-drenched vineyards of Portugal. The result is a beautifully balanced, 107-proof whiskey that marries the bold character of Texas bourbon with the rich, fruity notes of fine port wine.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: A captivating bouquet of berry fruits—raspberry, blackberry, and strawberry—mingled with notes of rich chocolate, leather, and a hint of sweet vanilla.
Palate: A full-bodied and velvety mouthfeel. Flavors of ripe plum, cinnamon toast, and honey dominate, followed by a wave of sweet cherry and a gentle, warming spice that perfectly complements the port's sweetness.
