Old Pulteney 12 Year is a maritime Highland single malt, aged exclusively in ex-bourbon casks for one decade. Matured in coastal warehouses near Wick, its character is shaped by salty sea air and seasoned American oak. Bottled at 40% ABV, it is chill-filtered and colored for consistency across batches.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Honey, vanilla, rose floral notes, melon, citrus zest, and light brine
Palate: Creamy toffee and caramel with orchard fruits, warm malt, and a touch of sea salt
Finish: Medium in length—sweet barley, lemons, gentle oak, and subtle maritime spice
