A familiar ripple is making its way back to the surface. Ripple Rye® Vol. 3 continues our exploration of rye whiskey through the interplay of spice, sweetness, and oak. Aged 8 years and bottled at 110.4 proof, this release carries the familiar character of the Ripple series, echoing the alchemy of Vol. 1 with a character distinctly its own. To draw out the rye’s natural intensity, the whiskey undergoes a finishing ritual of maple syrup barrels and toasted Amburana Oak staves. Maple brings a deep, measured sweetness while Amburana awakens layers of warming spice and oak... two influences working in tandem to transform an already bold rye into something distinctly Dark Arts.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: French vanilla and ginger snaps lead the way, layered with subtle oak, toasted hazelnut, and bright notes of fresh cherry, creating an inviting nose with just the right touch of sweetness and spice.
Palate: Sweet oak unfolds into iced cinnamon roll and candied ginger, followed by orange zest and warming mulling spice. A balanced maple influence rounds out the palate with rich sweetness.
Finish: Velvety and lingering, with warming holiday spice, maple sweetness, and rich oak unfolding slowly, leaving a lasting warmth and subtle spice long after the final sip.

How to Enjoy:
Sip neat to experience the interplay of the maple syrup, amburana oak, and high-proof bourbon. A few drops of water can open up softer stone fruit and spice. Excellent dark chocolate, or as a contemplative after-dinner pour. Can also be used within a whiskey spiced cocktail!
