This whisky culminates its aging journey with a twelve-month finish in first fill Oloroso sherry casks, carefully chosen by our Master Blender to enhance the whisky's complexity without overshadowing its intrinsic qualities.
Heritage and Maturation Process: Situated in the historic whisky region of Campbeltown, Glen Scotia distillery has leveraged its coastal position to access some of the finest sherry casks through the centuries. This 18-year-old single malt pays homage to traditional sherry cask maturation, enriching its character with a deep, floral sweetness that complements its native maritime qualities.
Tasting Profile:
Nose: The aroma presents a harmonious blend of sea-infused saltiness and floral notes, enriched by undercurrents of sweet honey and salted caramel, creating a captivating and elegant bouquet.
Palate: On the palate, this whisky unfolds with a luxuriously smooth and rich texture. It offers a medley of fruity flavors including apricots and pineapple, intertwined with plump sultana raisins and coated with thick sweet toffee.
