Old Carter Straight Rye Whiskey Small Batch 15 is a limited release assembled from 15 barrels of Indiana-distilled rye whiskey produced a mash bill containing 95% rye. The whiskey matured for nine years in new American oak barrels, with a portion undergoing 2.5 years of double-barrel maturation for additional oak, spice, and concentrated sweetness. Mark and Sherri Carter selected and blended the barrels before bottling the whiskey in Louisville, Kentucky.
Bottled at cask strength without chill filtration, Batch 15 retains its natural oils, texture, and full-flavored rye character at 59% ABV, or 118 proof. The profile combines classic rye spice and herbal notes with green apple, Earl Grey tea, dark caramel, molasses, vanilla, dried fruit, orange peel, and toasted oak.
