Very Olde St. Nick Superfreak 11+ Year Kentucky Bourbon is an extremely limited small-batch release from Preservation Distillery, known for bottling rare, older Kentucky stocks. This edition is built from a blend of two 11-year-old Kentucky bourbons combined with a deeply matured 18-year-old barrel, which contributes to the whiskey’s dense, concentrated character. The mingling of these older components creates a profile far richer than typical 11-year offerings. Bottled at 116.2 proof, Superfreak is designed to deliver layered depth, warm spice, and a bold, full-bodied structure while retaining the hallmark smoothness of long-aged Kentucky bourbon.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Dark caramel, toasted pecan, baked fruit, oak char, and subtle candy-like sweetness.
Palate: Full-bodied and warming with burnt orange, root beer, tobacco leaf, dark fruit, and robust oak spice.
Finish: Long, rich, and powerful with lingering leather, dark chocolate, candied nuts, and deeply toasted oak.
How to Enjoy
Best neat in a Glencairn glass to appreciate its layered profile; a few drops of spring water can open up fruit and spice. For a more casual serving, a large ice cube cools and softens the intensity.
